Our Mission
Most people underestimate how powerful compound interest is over time — and most savings calculators online only show a final number without explaining how it got there. SavingsCalculator.in shows the full picture: a year-by-year breakdown of contributions versus interest earned, plus a "reach a goal" mode for working backwards from a target.
Our Methodology
Every calculation uses the standard future value formula for a lump sum plus regular contributions, compounded monthly:
FV = P(1+r)^n + PMT × [((1+r)^n − 1) ÷ r]
You can see the full breakdown, including a worked example, on our Step-by-Step Example section.
Editorial Standards
Our content is written to be genuinely useful, not padded for search engines. We clearly separate mathematical projections from financial advice, and note where our calculations don't account for real-world factors like taxes and inflation.
Important: we are a calculation tool, not a licensed financial advisor. Read our full Disclaimer before making financial decisions based on any result.
What We're Building Next
We're working on an inflation-adjusted projection mode and a retirement-specific calculator, continuing the same standard: transparent math, no dark patterns, free forever.
